At Pawsitively Pink, we believe in force free animal training/care. We commit to educating ourselves on pet related topics, so that we can pass that knowledge on to our clients. Because of sharing that knowledge, we believe we can help our clients create the environment they envisioned pet ownership to be, while letting their pet(s) live their best lives.
As a company, we wanted to give back to our community by sharing our thoughts and knowledge that we obtained from veterinarians and other reliable sources. These topics may include pet related community events, animal nutrition, animal health, training tips and pawsibly our own random pawnderings.
Have you wondered if your pet was receiving the best nutrients from the food you buy. As prices raise for pet food along with other pet care items it is important to know which is best for your pet. More expensive isn't always better.
Fear Free is a topic that we hold near and dear to our heart. Fear Free is all about an animals FAS (Fear, Anxiety, Stress) scale. Rather than implementing forceful methods, fear free teaches how to read the body language of your animal to judge how they feel about a situation. This helps in a number of ways. If you are aware of your pets FAS, you can better advocate for them. Even visits to the veterinarian can be more comfortable for everyone involved. The "Fear Free" method allows the animal to discover new things and people in a non-threatening way. There are even veterinary practices that use the Fear Free method in their health care plan. PetVet365 is one such clinic, and there are others.
We believe that forceful training can create an obedient animal, but can also make an animal that is pre-disposed to anxiety increasingly anxious, making matters worse. Forceful training is far from necessary and we believe an animal can be trained using Fear Free methods with a more advantageous outcome.
And lastly, this blog page will serve to communicate local events and support local businesses in the Clermont and surrounding areas.
